A month before EvoluCulture’s 10th Anniversary, The multi-masterful J Read headlines Evolution Dopen Mic on Saturday September 21st at Cryout Cave.

Get ready for a mix of song, rap, violin and more in the set of this Newark native, who song “Chickadee” is now also a children’s book (though the message is for all ages).

As always, a 10-slot open mic list is available upon entry to the venue for poets, singers, emcees, dancers, comedians, musicians, storytellers and more to sign up and showcase their artistry.  

The event will be hosted by Sean Battle, with sounds by The IZM. and refreshments by Treasure’s Golden Confections.

$10 advanced tickets available until Friday September 20th,11:59PM, or until sellout. Afterwards, admission is $20 at the door.

Evolution Dopen Mic is the flagship show of EvoluCulture Ventures, and the 2nd longest running active open mic event in Newark, NJ. It is held monthly at Cryout Cave (601 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Newark, NJ, 07102).
